Introduction
Welcome to the Getting Started Guide! Gravity Game Hub (or GGH for short) has been around since 2022, and ever since its release, there have been a couple of changes to it over time. Whether they are episodic patches like Phantasmagorika and Banquet of Heroes, or quality-of-life improvements like World Teleport Tickets, these can be confusing to players who wish to give the server a test play or have only since tried it during its buggy infant months. Despite these hurdles, they may learn that there’s more to the server than standing in the sidelines, and to have actual experience while traversing and grinding in-game. This guide aims to introduce some features of GGH to new and returning players, as a means to help them in their first steps of adventuring and trying out the server.
Where to Get Starting Items
The first thing that you might ask yourself before even beginning your journey in GGH is wondering where you can get items for your character. Starting from scratch can be intimidating for new players, especially in a server which has been running for some years already. Fret not, as there are a couple of ways to obtain items to help you in your adventures.
A. New User Box Update (from 1 to 170)
Newly created Novices in GGH are provided with New User Boxes: a consumable item granted that, when used, will give the character an array of items to help with leveling. These can be in the form of Slim Potions, time-duration Fly Wing boxes, Alice Mercenary Scrolls or free equipment (which can be viable until you are able to progress further in-game).

For more information regarding the packages included in this, visit: Official Ragnarok Online by Gravity Game Hub (gnjoy.asia)
B. Eden Group Equipment
Those who are familiar with Renewal servers may have heard of the Eden Equipment, which are some F2P gear given by accomplishing quests from Instructors Boya and Ur from the Eden Paradise Group. Those who want an upgrade from their New User Box pre-Lv100 equipment, or are returnees who do not have New User Boxes in their old characters, may opt to do these quests to attain these gear, as well as enchant them with additional stats given by the other NPCs in Eden.
C. NFS Items from F2P Events and Quests
Depending on the patch, some seasonal events may be implemented, bringing about some events that may offer Not-for-Sale (NFS) equipment or cash shop consumables. It is highly encouraged for new players or returnees to run these event quests, as they will be a valuable source of items that can help boost in leveling.
Outside of seasonal events, there already exist some F2P quests which the player can finish to claim other consumables. For example, Royal Certificates (which are dropped in specific towns every 8th, 15th and 22nd of the month) can be exchanged for King Paul’s treasure items in Malangdo. King Paul’s Treasure Key (either given from events or monthly daily login rewards) can also be exchanged for random items from King Paul’s Treasure Chest. You may locate King Paul and other associated NPCs at /navi malangdo 235/186.
An NPC in Prontera can also exchange 100x Jellopy for 5x NFS Battle Manuals (character-bound). You can find this NPC in /navi prontera 203/52
Quests and Job Progression
Job advancements in GGH have been made simpler to players who are ready to progress with their class. This allows much faster access to later content of the game than having to run around to do some unnecessary pre-requisites like in Pre-Renewal.
A. Initial Quests
As soon as the Novice leaves the spawn point inside the ship, the Reno and Lumin questline can be taken, which will eventually lead the player to the Criatura Academy in Izlude. A series of other side quests which give some Base/Job EXP, Novice consumable items and Class Manual Accessories (by Criatura Academy NPCs on the 2nd Floor) may also be taken along the way.
These are only optional to take and complete though, and only serve as an introduction to players on the quest system of the game. If one should choose to follow the quests in Criatura Academy, we recommend following it up until receiving the Eden Group Mark item as a reward after advancing to 1st Job. After changing into your preferred first job class, make your way back to Criatura Academy and speak to Sprakki. After some conversing, Lime Evenor the Eden Group Secretary will appear. Speak to her, and she will reward you with basic Paradise Group Equipment plus the Eden Group Mark.
B. First Job Advancement
Speaking of first jobs, the six main classes (Swordsman, Acolyte, Mage, Archer, Thief and Merchant) do not have job change quests, and Novices who wish to advance into these classes only require to be Job Level 10 with Lv9 Basic Skills learned in order to do so. They have the option to advance inside the Criatura Academy (via NPCs on the 2nd Floor), or through the NPCs inside the Main Jobs’ Guilds (ex: Swordsman in Izlude). We recommend changing into first jobs in these main guild buildings as the Platinum 1st Job skills (such as Crazy Uproar, Energy Coat and Backslide) will be unlocked for free as soon as the Novice changes into the 1st Job.
It is important to note that expanded classes (Gunslinger, Ninja, Taekwon and Super Novices) are still required to finish prerequisite quests in order to advance. Some NPCs can warp the Novice to their corresponding job change quest NPCs for faster travel (ex: Gunslinger guide can warp the Novice to the Gunslinger Guild Building in Einbroch).
C. Second Job Advancement
Much like in Pre-Renewal, advancement from First to Second Class requires the character to hit at least Job Lv40, to which they may then proceed to their respective Job Guild Buildings to continue advancing to their next job class. However, we highly recommend hitting Job Lv50 before doing so. This will not just guarantee that you have 10 extra skill points to spend on the 1st Job skill tree, but also waive the job change quest for your character, allowing you to advance into 2nd Job much quicker.
Keep in mind though that you are required to finish the advancement quest if you accidentally accept the job change quest prior to hitting Job Lv50, and then gaining some more levels until you hit Job Lv50.
D. Rebirth / Transcending via Escaped Book Quest
Transcending into High Novice via rebirth quest has an alternative path a player can choose – the Escaped Book Quest. Accepting this waives the need to pay 1,285,000z as fee for the usual rebirth quest, and only requires killing the Escaped Book in select Juno field maps to advance.
Besides that, the character also only needs 500 weight maximum of carried items, all skill points used, off-mount, off-cart and off-falcon in order to rebirth. Accessing the Hall of Heroes only requires the player to speak to the Book of Ymir, and not have to go down the maze towards the Heart of Ymir.
E. Valhyrie’s Whisper for Instant Third Job Advancement
Once the player meets the level requirements (99/50 minimum, 99/70 recommended), they may proceed to take their respective Third Job Quests in order to advance their class. The NPC Valhyrie’s Whisper is able to instantly change the character to its Third Job if the player wishes to skip the job change quest entirely (beneficial to those who wish to skip the 0-weight requirement for some classes such as Rune Knights and Rangers, or are in a rush to reaching 3rd Jobs).
This advancement option requires the players to have 25x Nyangvine Fruits (Cash Shop item) in their inventory, and merged into one inventory cell (can be merged by Mergician in Cash Item Mall map; warper located in Prontera at /navi prontera 137/125).
How to Level Fast
Having received the knowledge of these F2P items and the class advancements in-game, one may next wonder how to gain levels fast. Being a Renewal progressive server, GGH has certain mechanics and features any player needs to take into consideration when raising the level of one’s character. Utilizing these in the most optimal way will definitely help in speeding up the leveling process.
A. Leveling in Renewal
Unlike in Classic Servers, the level difference between the player and monsters has an important role in gaining experience. Characters’ levels need to be within a certain range in order to gain full Base and Job EXP from monsters. Being some levels lower than a target monster will give boosted EXP to the player, with 10 levels difference being the highest boost at +40%.
For example, if a Lv55 Archer is able to kill a Mantis (Lv65), he will be gaining a boosted Base/Job experience of 898/778 respectively, while a Lv65 Archer who kills the same Mantis will only be receiving the default 642/556 Base and Job EXP. Keep in mind that these can be further boosted by other modifiers such as Battle Manuals, Premium/Event EXP Buffs, +% EXP equipment and Server-Wide EXP boosts.
B. Utilize Modified EXP Boosts
GGH also hosts Modified EXP Boosts to aid in players grinding levels. Originally just seasonal events which would occur once in a while, these EXP boosts (which range from +50% to +100%) have been a staple to the server to those wishing to gain levels on the weekend (with some weekend boosts starting as early as Friday night). Some boosts may even occur on special holidays on a weekday, so be sure to check out for any announcements if one wishes to play on that day!
C. World Bounty Quests
Board quests have been the go-to for gaining EXP especially for 3rd Job classes in GGH. Players have shifted from the daily Eden Group Board Quests to the repeatable World Bounty Quests which can be taken in select fields and dungeons in-game.
Depending on one’s base level, it is possible to accept and turn-in the quests given by these bounty boards for a generous amount of Base and Job EXP, and then refresh the quest using Boong Boong Drinks (bought at a cost of 100z per piece from Boong Boong Vending Machines in towns) in order to repeat the process.
The Magical Boy beside these vending machines will also provide a warp to the available World Bounty maps in the town’s area at the cost of 1 Boong Boong Drink. For faster reconnaissance going to and from your desired Bounty Board map, we recommend setting your save point in the town with the NPC which can warp you into said location.
D. Join a Giant Fly Wing Party
Parties are still a viable option for leveling to those who don’t wish to grind solo. A common practice in GGH is having a Giant Fly Wing Party, wherein the party leader carries Giant Fly Wings (bought from Cash Shop as the item itself or in Party Boxes from Flash Sales, via events) and uses them to teleport the party across the map; players are then able to kill whichever mobs appear in their sight. This helps speed up the kill counts more, especially for those who do World Bounty Quests where turn-ins are done much faster.
There are times a main damager who is levels higher than the other members carries the party by being the sole driver of the Giant Fly Wing and eliminating enemies. Often the practice of leechers, they are able to finish bounty kills for the rest of their party, allowing them to gain EXP at a faster pace despite not having an Even Share party.
Free Reset for Newbies
There exists free unlimited stat and skill reset NPCs by the name of Hypnotist. These NPCs are located in Prontera (/navi prontera 146/232), Izlude (/navi izlude 127/175) and Lasagna (/navi lasagna 222/123). The service is only applicable to First Jobs (Swordsman, Acolyte, Magician, Archer, Thief, Merchant), Expanded Classes (Gunslinger, Ninja, Taekwon) and Dorams (Summoner) under Base Level 50. This reset feature can help new players testing out the server to try and fix their stats and skills at an early stage of the game should the need for one arises.
How to Farm Zeny
The time-old question in any Ragnarok server would be finding ways on how to earn Zeny in-game. Being one of the most important resources, Zeny is always used in-game for various reasons – opening one’s Kafra Storage, purchasing items from NPCs/Vendors, entering the PvP Room and using specific skills, to name a few. New or returning players need to familiarize themselves on how to earn Zeny properly so as to help them in their journeys in-game.
A. Raw-Zeny Farming
The default go-to for any online RPG player is to sell the loots picked up from grinding. A good number of items in-game have a certain value in Zeny when sold to NPCs (further increased when sold by a character with the passive skill “Overcharge” learned). This isn’t by means the fastest way to gain a huge amount of Zeny in a short period of time as it requires knowledge of what item to farm and where to hunt them. However, being able to farm for raw Zeny will still help the player have the buying power to purchase some of their necessities like consumables, ammunition and skill catalyst items.
Some of these items you may consider looting for raw Zeny are Harpy’s Feathers / Talons from Harpy, Great Nature from Sleeper, Dragon Tails / Scales / Canines from Petites and Deleters, and Crimson Weapons from various monsters such as Headless Mule, Pasana and Porcellio. Also keep in mind that, in Renewal settings, level difference between monsters and the player will affect the drop rate of items.

B. Material-Zeny Farming
Some items that sometimes don’t have the highest Zeny value when sold to NPC can fetch a good sum when sold to other players. These items are usually used by classes who have high demand for these – whether they are materials for crafting (ex: Light Granule and Elder Branch for Rune Knight’s Runes), skill catalyst requirements (ex: Green Live and Wind of Verdure for Sorcerer summons) or Monster Cards sought after by different players (ex: Headless Mule Card for Water/Holy-element magic classes, Marc and Evil Druid Card for players who need Freeze/Stone-Immunity).
If you are able to gather some of these materials during your grinds, keep hold of them first, and then sell them to other players who may be in need of them.
C. Instance-Based Farming
Memorial Dungeons are instance-based maps, usually behind a daily, 3-day or weekly cooldown, which can be entered by parties (whether as a group or solo). These become a viable place to farm for Zeny at later levels, as some of the items that can be farmed here are either various equipment for some classes or are used as crafting materials for equipment themselves. Ghost Palace (Gray Shards / Thanos Weapons), Geffen Magic Tournament (Cards and Geffen Magic Accessory Scroll), Horror Toy Factory (Magic Card Album / Evil Spirit Glove) and Advanced Old Glast Heim (Coagulated Spell / Polluted Spell) are just a few of these Memorial Dungeons where players may choose to farm for some Zeny.
D. Cash Shop Item Selling
For those players who are willing to spend real-life money for the game, consider topping up some Kafra Points into your account. You may use these Kafra Points to purchase items in the Cash Shop like Gacha Eggs, Nyangvine Boxes, Megaphones and Token of Siegfried Boxes, and then sell them to players for some quick Zeny. Keep in mind the market price of said cash shop items, as well as the Trade Restrictions of each.
The Eden Paradise Group
Along one’s travels, you may encounter a special group which aids numerous adventurers in their journeying. The Eden Paradise Group is an organization which caters to such a purpose – providing different kinds of services to players such as free equipment, EXP quests and limited items. Choosing to become a member of this group will be beneficial to players, and is highly recommended by others to consider.
A. Registration
Registering to the Eden Paradise Group involves interacting with Secretary Lime Evenor, whom you can begin speaking to after advancing into your First Job and heading back to the Criatura Academy. After speaking to Sprakki, she will appear near the front counter. Talk to Secretary Lime Evenor to receive your Eden Group Mark as well as other items.
Alternatively, you may also proceed to Eden (the group’s headquarters) by interacting with any of the Eden Group Teleport Service NPCs located in towns. Once inside, walk straight until you meet the secretary along with other NPCs behind a counter. Speak to her to receive your Eden Group Mark.
B. Eden Group Mark and Eden Saving
Using the Eden Group Mark will teleport your character right into the bedroom of the Eden Paradise Group. It serves as an easy Butterfly Wing if you don’t have one in your inventory. As soon as you go downstairs and leave Eden, you will be sent to the last town you interacted with an Eden Group Teleport Service NPC.
Additionally, you can set this town location through the “Eden Saving” method, in which you interact with an Eden Group Teleport Service NPC in a town of your preference (such as Prontera or Lighthalzen), so that you will always come out to that town whenever you use your Eden Group Mark and exit Eden.
C. The Paramarket and Eden Group Waitress
Some items and materials have been made accessible in GGH as they are being sold inside Eden. The Paramarket is a hub containing shop NPCs that sell various items for players – Geneticist’s cooking materials, Guillotine Cross’ poison herbs, Mora Coins and elemental arrow quivers just to name a few.
Take note that some of these items have a limited quantity to them, and that some shops may either be unavailable or have special promos depending on the day of the week. Also, some items are priced higher than usual Vend price as they only serve as an easier means of acquiring said items, and not a full alternative to manually farming them from monsters. You may access the Paramarket by speaking to the Paramarket Hustler NPC inside Eden located at /navi moc_para01 106/38.
There also exists the Eden Group Waitress inside Eden’s Kitchen. Make your way to /navi moc_para01 179/40 and interact with the NPC in order to open the shop. Players may purchase numerous other materials here such as Prickly Fruits, Mandragora Flowerpots, Alcohols and Karvodailnirol.
D. Quest Equipment and Enchanting
As mentioned in the Get Starting Items section, you may receive free equipment by accomplishing the quests given by either Instructor Boya (Lv12 minimum, Lv50 recommended for easiest quest option with high tier rewards) or Instructor Ur (Lv60 minimum, Lv70 or Lv90 recommended for easier quest options). They will send you to a specific map where the next Quest NPC is located. From there, it’s just a matter of finishing the NPC’s tasks before getting approval to head back to Eden.
Speak to Boya or Ur again, and they will direct you to the Equipment Room (upper right area of Eden 1F, through the blue doors beside Sally Port, down the hall and enter the portal to the right). Administrator Michael will provide equipment from the quests given by Boya, while Weapon Expert BK will provide the equipment from the quests given by Ur.
Some of these equipment can also be enchanted by NPCs inside Eden, thus giving players a first time experience with the enchanting system in the game. The Eden Group Hat given by Administrator Michael can be enchanted with +2 of the player’s preferred stat choice after accomplishing the Lv40-69 Equipment Quest by Instructor Boya. The equipment given by Weapon Expert BK can be enchanted by either him (Weapon) or Blacksmith Thorn (Armor, Garment and Footgear; requires turning in either Iron Ore + Iron for Lv60-79 or Used Iron Plate for Lv80+, repeatable once a day with 0% chance of failure).
Take note though that they will not hand out these items to you again if you accidentally sell them to an NPC. Additionally, if you accomplished Instructor Ur’s equipment quest before taking any of Instructor Boya’s, you will not be able to receive her quest and get the free equipment from her or Administrator Michael.
E. Other Quests
A variety of other quests are present in Eden. The Eden Group Daily Mission Boards, broken down through different level ranges, provide various Base and Job EXP quests after accomplishing and turning them in. Compared to World Bounty Quests, these provide a slower gain in EXP as they are the older version for leveling especially for Third Jobs, but can be used to save the finished quests at higher levels (Lv70-90 quests) and turning them in after transcending as soon as the player hits Lv70.
Eden’s Supply Manager also hands out EXP quests to adventurers. Depending on your Base Level, he will request players to bring him various items which can be exchanged for Base and Job EXP. Turning in these quests will impose a one-hour cooldown before turning in the same set of items again.
There also exists the Crystal Synthesis Quests through the NPC Reno at /navi moc_paraup 41/169/, wherein players are able to receive Energy Crystals, by accomplishing Monster kill quests, that can be used to craft advanced versions of some equipment (such as Improved Opera Phantom Mask, Enhanced Corsair, Enhanced Variant Shoes and Advanced Ifrit Rings).
Reno can also provide a 3-hour buff to ATK and MATK depending on your level and the option you choose from, and then gives your some Crystals after the duration; you will then receive a 1-day cooldown before choosing that same option again, but can still pick the other options to receive a different level of ATK and MATK buff.
Getting from one place to another can be confusing to new players or returnees, as different servers may have different methods of transporting a character. GGH provides a handful of options some players may consider using for finding certain maps to level or grind in, as well as ease of travel into fields and even dungeons.
A. Navigation Window
Renewal introduces the Navigation system for players to know more details about a map. Opening up the Navigation Window through the menu or one’s keyboard shortcut (needs to be assigned manually), players can search for specific maps, monsters or NPCs in the Search Bar, and show the various details and which maps to find them.
B. World Teleport Ticket
In line with the Navigation System, the World Teleport Ticket grants players nearly complete access to any town, field or dungeon the player wishes to teleport into, bypassing quest prerequisites or item requirements for some. Simply select the map you wish to go to in the Navigation Window, hit the Move button and select which World Teleport Ticket option is available.
These tickets can be obtained from the Cash Shop for 20 KP a box containing 40 tickets, while non-tradeable versions can be obtained from events and some daily login rewards for the month. Keep in mind that you cannot use the World Teleport Ticket when inside buildings.
C. Sally Port
If World Teleport Tickets are unavailable to your character, Sally Port provides an alternative to access a select number of maps the player wishes to traverse into. Her teleport fees require either Zeny, Eden Coins or both depending on the selected map. These Eden Coins can only be obtained by accomplishing Eden Group Mission Board Quests of Lv100 and above.
D. Dual Warpers
This option is only recommended if you have a second GGH account that you wish to dedicate purely for warps. The server allows having more than one client running, which makes it possible to have alternate account(s) with Warper classes such as Acolytes and Priests in them, and with Blue Gemstones being sold by NPCs for 450z without Lv10 Discount, it makes traveling to towns and fields much easier. Take note of the limitations of Warp Portal and which maps can or cannot be saved via /memo command.
Meet the Community
Being an MMO in nature, Ragnarok Online caters to gamers who want to socialize, chat and play with each other. Familiarizing oneself with a server’s community not only helps in understanding first hand how healthy or toxic the existing player base is, but also gives you an idea of how your gaming experience will be as you interact with different individuals.
A. RO GGH Discord Server
As some servers’ communities mingle on online forum boards or group chats in social media, the GGH community is most active through their Discord Server. Here, players are able to mingle with the other gamers (both veteran and newbie) of the server. They may ask questions or seek help about anything in-game here – from class guides, to market items, to announcements and in-game promotions. It also serves as a common spot to interact and chat with each other.
B. Join a Guild
Socializing and adventuring with a group of people can also help one enjoy the game experience on the server. Whether by posting on the Discord’s looking-for-guild channel or asking around in-game, players may choose to seek a guild who they can grind levels, run instances or participate in War of Emperium with.
C. Participate in Events
Seasonal events have been a common occurrence in GGH server, and some of them encourage cooperation between different players in the community. We recommend players to participate in these events through party-play when possible, especially helping new, returning and even veteran players with clearing them, so as to foster a healthy bond with individuals in the community.
Yes, It Is Still Worth Starting
If you have reached the very end of this guide, that means there has been a spark of interest in you about RO GGH Server, even if it’s just a tiny bit. We highly encourage new players or potential returnees to give the server a try: create an account, play for a few hours or a handful of days, follow the pointers suggested here and see if this server will have you enjoying playing Ragnarok Online once again. If you didn’t seem satisfied with the experience, we are glad that you were still able to play on the server. Regardless of that, best wishes, happy playing and see you in-game!

Special thanks to Cai, Rime, HayyDad, SmolMeow and Jamimmim from RO GGH Discord for sharing their knowledge and making this guide possible.
