At all times, you must have the Fishing Rod in your inventory to participate in fishing.
You only need to craft the fishing rod once and it is of unlimited use.

Start Fishing
Head over to the fishing spot and click on the Fishing NPC.
Choose your bait to begin. A progress bar will appear as you attempt to catch a fish.
The possible outcomes are successful catch of fish or “trash”, and failure to catch.
On a successful catch, a 30-minute cooldown will apply to that fishing spot.
On failure, no cooldown applies.
