Introduction

Welcome to the Shadow Chaser job change quest guide! The Shadow Chaser is a master of stealth and deception, specializing in advanced trickery and shadow manipulation. To become a Shadow Chaser, you’ll need to complete a series of challenges and prove your skills. This job change guide will walk you through the steps required to transform your Stalker class into a Shadow Chaser.

Requirements

Must be base level 99 and Job Level 70 on Stalker Class
Must have used all the skills points on the skill list

You should bring a few potions because the Shadows you need to kill might deal significant damage to you. If you lack some luck, you might get killed. Additionally, there are some locations where mobs are present, so having a few pots handy would be wise.
A World Ticket will help you avoid manually traveling across the world of Ragnarok. It can be bought at the Cash Shop for 20 KP, or NFS World Tickets from Daily Rewards.
Fly Wings would also be useful, as the Shadow Monsters may be randomly located on the map, and if you’re lucky, they might be just near the NPC.

Step 1. Go to Morocc and speak to NPC “Girl”

Step 2. Go to cmd_fild07, then enter the portal

Step 3. After you enter the portal, go downstairs.

Step 4. Go left and talk to “Scary Man” near the coordinates of 372,103

Step 5. Then go to Prontera and enter Portal.

Step 6. Go upstairs and Talk to Manager NPC.

Step 7. Show him the code and type “shadows atelier in prontera” then press ok.

Step 8. Head to /navi tur_dun03 40/204 and speak to the Blue Flame.

Step 9. Enter “blue fire in turtle island third floor” then press ok.

Step 10. It will then tell you to slay Shadow of Deception.
NOTE: If it’s not near the Blue Flame, you can walk through the map or use a Fly Wings/Teleport to find it.

Step 11.a. After eliminating the Shadow of Deception, go back and speak to Blue Flame. It will warp you to another room. The only clue you need is the number the mechanism gives you. For example, in the picture below, the encircled number is 2. Refer to the list below the image to determine which code you should input.

Step 11.b In this instance, number 2 is the clue. So, on the list above, the corresponding code is JQPGUVA. You should input that code, as shown in the picture below. It will give you “Key of Deception” after you insert the correct code.

Step 12. Head back to the Manager NPC in Prontera. The Manager will then instruct you to visit Rachel.

Step 13. Head over to Rachel and enter the portal.

Take note of the code he gives you. In the picture above, the word he gave is ‘COLD.’ This will be important later.

Step 14. Next, go to Ice Dungeon 2 and speak to the Red Flame.

The Red Flame will ask you to slay the monster ‘Shadow of Illusion.’ It should normally spawn near the flame, but if it doesn’t, walk around or use a Fly Wing to find it.

Step 15. Go back and speak to the Red Flame. It will transfer you to another room. Remember, we got ‘COLD’ as the clue.

The list of correct answers is as follows:
COLD = 20
FOOT = 25
SEED = 24.
We got the word “C O L D”, so we enter 20 just like the picture below

Step 16. You will then receive the Key of Illusion. Return to Rachel and speak to the NPC Manager. Be sure to talk to the NPC Manager before advancing in the quest.

Step 17. Go to Juno(Yuno) and enter the portal.

Step 18. Find and speak to the Manager and enter “I know what you did last summer!”

Step 19. Then go to Niflheim and talk to the Red Flame.

Step 20. The Red Flame will ask you to slay the “Shadow of Pleasure”, After you’ve defeated the monster, return to the Red Flame.

Step 21. Speak again to the Red Flame, and it will transport you to another room. Click the device in the middle and input ‘TURN AND SHAKE,’ then press ‘OK’.

Then select “Turn the house”

Then select “roll it to upside down”

After entering the correct sequence of choices, you will receive the “Key of Gaiety“.

Step 22. Return to the Manager in Juno/Yuno) and speak to him. He will instruct you to go to Lighthalzen. Enter the portal and find the Manager.

Talk to the Manager, and he will instruct you to go to Thanatos Tower.

Step 23. Go to Thanatos Tower 01 then enter the portal.

Step 24. Insert all the keys into the device in the middle of the room.

Step 25. Go back to Lighthalzen and talk to Manager again. He will tell you to go upstairs and Talk to Dumk. After the dialogue, speak to Dumk again and select the option “Change me to Shadow Chaser”.
