Introduction

Fistful of Zeny is the main quest that kicks off the Rock Ridge expansion in Ragnarok Online. It introduces players to the story and setting of the town while serving as the gateway to unlocking all the side quests available in Rock Ridge. These side quests let you explore more of the town’s Wild West-inspired theme, uncover its mysteries, and earn useful rewards. If you’re planning to get the most out of the Rock Ridge content, starting with Fistful of Zeny is a must.

The original quest title is supposed to be ‘The Captured, the Uncaptured, the Busy,’ based on the infographic shared in the official website posting. However, due to the title used by other official servers, we will also refer to it as ‘Fistful of Zeny.

This quest will reward you with experience and Rock Ridge Coins, which can be used to exchange for equipment and enchanting.

Requirements

Costello requires an adventurer who is level 100 or above.

Main Quest

First, go to Karem Pucci in Alberta /navi alberta 240/104 . He will ask you to help him.
You will be teleported to Rock Ridge. Talk to Costello /navi harboro1 80/217
Now speak to Wyatt Warp /navi harboro1 241/218 . He will tell you that Johnny James wants to speak to someone for the exchange of the Purple Ore.
Return to Costello /navi harboro1 80/217 and talk to him.
Now return to Wyatt Warp /navi harboro1 241/218 .
Now proceed to the left portal of the town and go to the Unmoving Freight Train /navi rockrdg1 157/306 .
Two Buffalos will appear and tell them “I‘m the mayor now“.
Now speak to Wyatt Warp that’s still standing there and return to his office after.
Once you return to his office, talk to either Ivoka Skudi /navi har_in01 15/24 or Wyatt Warp.
After talking, go downstairs and talk to Johnny James /navi har_in01 89/23 .
Talk to Ivoka Skudi and head upstairs.
Talk to Wyatt Warp, and he will tell you to find Shawn McCurdy.
Go to Shawn McCurdy /navi harboro1 290/193 .]
Now you need to go two maps to the east of the town and meet with Shawn McCurdy /navi rockrdg2 347/216 at the edge of the map. He will transport you inside the mine.
Once inside the mines, talk to Shawn McCurdy and he will tell you to retrieve the Purple Ore /navi rockmi2 82/45 .

(Note: The Purple Ore has 20 HP and will drop a character-bound item, Purple Ore.)
Return to Shawn McCurdy and exit the mine.
Now walk to the Concave Rock /navi rockrdg2 279/311 . Choose the second ‘Knock, knock, knock.’ option.
Albert Ford /navi rockrdg2 296/309 will appear. Talk to him. (There is at least one choice that will make him drop items.)
Albert will give you the Buffalo Bandit Mane. He might also drop the Brown Muffler and Bandit’s Scarf, which you’ll need later.
Once you have the Buffalo Bandit Mane, talk to Wyatt Warp /navi harboro1 241/218 .
Next, talk to Johnny James in the jail. He will tell you that the ore is located under the elevator on the second floor of the mine.
Talking to Wyatt Warp will send you to Shawn McCurdy /navi rockrdg2 347/216 outside the mine to assist you.
Once inside, talk to Shawn McCurdy before heading to the elevator.
Click the Broken Elevator /navi rockmi2 97/119 . Three Bandits will spawn. Kill them and click the elevator again to receive the Purple Ore Crate.
Return to Shawn McCurdy with the crate and warp out of the mine.

He will ask you to complete the following tasks:
- Get 5 Brown Mufflers (Dropped by Buffalo Bandit Bandits)
- Get 5 Bandit’s Scarves (Dropped by Buffalo Bandit Duelists)
- Kill 3 Buffalo Bandit Sharpshooters
- Kill 3 Buffalo Bandit Duelists
- Kill 3 Buffalo Bandit Bandits.
After completing the tasks, return to the Concaved Rock /navi rockrdg2 279/311 and talk to Albert Ford.
Now, return to Wyatt Warp /navi harboro1 241/218 .
He will reward you with 200 Rock Ridge Coins, and you can choose between the Vigilante Badge (L) or the Vigilante Badge (R).

Spotty and Her Ring

Talk to Mrs. McPhy /navi harboro1 347/65 and offer to help her find her ring.
Head to the next map east of the town, find the hole, and dig /navi rockrdg1 43/145 .
Return to Mrs. McPhy /navi harboro1 347/65 . She will tell you it’s not her ring. You will receive 1 Rock Ridge Coin.

Peace of the Family

Talk to Mrs. Cacturon /navi rockrdg1 341/133 .
Hunt 30 Coyote.
While hunting, gather 5 Juice Mix Package by talking to NPCs Around the map
Curious Coyote /navi rockrdg1 195/183

Absorbed Coyote /navi rockrdg1 267/218

Cactus Girl /navi rockrdg1 305/199

Suspicious Sand Mound (Some Locations)
