Introduction
In Ragnarok Online, players can partake in a unique marriage system, allowing them to formalize their relationships within the game’s virtual world. This feature enables adventurers to unite with their partners in a symbolic ceremony, fostering deeper connections and camaraderie amidst their epic quests and battles.
Requirements
Here are the prerequisites for marriage:
- Both characters must be of different genders.
- Both characters must have reached a base level of at least 45.
- Neither character can be in baby form.
- Characters who are already married to another character are unable to enter into a new marriage until their prior marriage has been dissolved through divorce.
For the wedding ceremony, players are required to bring the following items:

Procedure
To begin the wedding preparations, head to the Wedding Shop Dealer located in Prontera. Here’s what you need to do:
- Purchase a Wedding Dress/Tuxedo from the Wedding Shop Dealer. Ensure that the Wedding Dress is placed in the inventory of the character who will be the bride.
- Purchase 2 Diamond Rings from the same Wedding Shop Dealer.
- Purchase Marriage Covenant for each from Wedding Present NPC beside Wedding Shop Dealer.
Ensure that each spouse has one Marriage Covenant & Diamond Ring in their inventory, as these items are essential for the wedding ceremony.
Once both Human spouses have gathered the required items and Zeny for the ceremony, proceed to the Prontera church located in Prontera Church for Human wedding.
For inter-species wedding, you may head over to Lasagna and speak to Wedding Guide.
Follow these steps to initiate the wedding ceremony:
- Speak with the Marriage Staff inside the Prontera Church Prontera Church or The Wedding Guide in Lasagna .
- Select the option “Apply for a Wedding Ceremony” for both spouses.
- Enter the correct In-Game Name (IGN) of your spouse. Remember, the groom should enter the bride’s IGN, and vice versa.
Next, proceed to the King of Midgard (or Officiant Peperocino if your wedding is in Lasagna) and engage him in conversation. He will request a message for your spouse. Both spouses should individually speak to the King of Midgard or Officiant Peperocino to convey their messages. This personal touch adds sentimentality to the proceedings, allowing each spouse to express their feelings directly to their beloved before the union. Upon completion, the Diamond Ring in each character’s inventory will be replaced with a Couple Ring.

Benefits of Marriage Sytem
Equip the Couple Ring given after the wedding ceremony to unlock the following skills, which will exclusively work for your spouse:
Loving Touch
This ability replenishes your spouse’s HP by consuming 10% of your character’s maximum HP. It cannot be activated if your HP falls below 10% of your maximum HP.
Undying Love
This ability rejuvenates your spouse’s SP by expending 10% of your character’s maximum SP. It cannot be utilized if your SP is below 10% of your maximum SP.
Romantic Rendezvous
Summon your spouse to your current location, excluding WoE (War of Emperium) areas.
Soul Linker Benefits
Soul Linkers have the ability to cast KA skills on their spouse even without having the Soul Linker Spirit buff.
Divorce
If being married has made your life really unhappy and everything feels like a big mess, you can go to Niflheim and the Deviruchi who helps people get divorced.
Find the house in Niflheim.
Once inside the house, walk up to the stairs and enter the portal to find the Deviruchi.
Requirements:
2,500,000 Zeny.
Easier Way to Divorce
Alternatively, you can speak to the Divorce Helper in Prontera beside The Wedding Shop Dealer.
Once you’ve made the decision to divorce, it’s important to note that you won’t be able to readopt. However, it’s essential to understand that adoption skills will continue to have an impact on both you and the player from whom you’ve separated. This means that even after divorce, the effects of adoption skills will persist for both parties involved.
